Britney Maternity

Recently I hosted a model call on a local group for expecting mommies here in Okinawa. I had tons of inquiries, but this sweet lady stood out to me. When she mentioned that she had done modeling in the past, it was a done deal.

I haven't had a session or even had the nerve to try to work in almost 7 months. Moving to a new place and being completely overwhelmed with the move in itself and trying to adjust to our new life, made me realize I needed to step back from photography for a bit and focus on my family and this huge transition. We aren't a military family, we are civilians, and most people who come here are military and are used to moving from time to time, whereas we have lived in Oklahoma our entire lives.

So after a few months of getting settled in, I started slowly finding myself grabbing my camera again and realizing how much I've missed it. Not only taking photos, but the creative part that comes with the editing side of things. So I finally decided that I'm ready to get out there again. I mean, I live in one of the most beautiful places in the world, so I better try to take advantage of that right?

Britney and I had a lot of fun. Not only is she beautiful but she is super sweet. I'm so glad she was the one I chose to help me get over that hump of my first session back. She knew exactly what to do and when to do it. I barely had to give her any direction. Her gallery is absolutely stunning and I am so lucky to have gotten to work with her!
